The vice president and presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Sunday December 1 inaugurated the Otuo Siriboe STEM College, Juaben, Ashanti Region.
The school, the first of its kind, will specialize in STEM education and science laboratories to support teaching and learning.
The government is looking to build similar schools in other parts of the country.
The Juaben Paramount Chief, Nana Otuo Siriboe II, thanked the government for naming the school after him.
As a trained engineer, the top leader promised to personally mentor the students. “I express my gratitude to the government for the honour given to me by the school that bears my name.
We also acknowledge the progress made in our community and thank you for the establishment of the school. My constituents are committed to supporting Dr. Bawumia in recognition of the progress made in Juaben.”
