NAPO describes 2024 Elections as a choice between “light and darkness

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, known as NAPO, the vice-presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has emphasized the importance of the 2024 elections, stating that they offer Ghanaians a pivotal opportunity to decide the country’s future direction. During his visit to Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III, the Omanhene of the New Juaben Traditional Area in Koforidua, NAPO highlighted the significance of the upcoming polls.

He characterized the election as a choice between “light,” represented by NPP’s Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and “darkness,” associated with John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). NAPO praised Dr. Bawumia’s economic acumen and policies, suggesting they are crucial for Ghana’s progress. In contrast, he criticized Mahama’s previous tenure as president, citing issues such as inconsistent electricity supply and the cancellation of teaching and nursing trainee allowances.

NAPO also urged chiefs and traditional rulers to actively engage in the governance process, offering guidance and support to him and Dr. Bawumia, whom he described as a fellow royal. He appealed for their wisdom and blessings as the NPP navigates the campaign process, stressing that the December elections are critical for the country’s future.
