The Aburi Girls Senior High School (SHS) in the Eastern Region is deeply saddened by the sudden loss of their cherished Headmistress, Cynthia Anim.
The tragic event took place while she was in Rome, Italy, attending an educational workshop. Anim was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Education, fellow senior high school heads, and selected students.
Anim, a dedicated and respected educator, was participating in an international workshop focused on enhancing the quality of secondary education in Ghana when this unfortunate incident occurred.
In an official statement, the Chairman of the school’s Board of Governors, Rev. E.A. Asiedu, expressed the profound grief felt by the entire school community.
“With the sure hope of the Resurrection, we regret to inform honourable members of the sad and heartbreaking news of the passing of our Headmistress, Mrs. Cynthia Anim. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to her family and the Aburi Girls SHS community.”
In response to this devastating loss, an emergency board meeting is scheduled for Monday, 30th September, at 10 a.m. in the school’s Boardroom to discuss the next steps and arrangements in the aftermath of Mrs. Anim’s passing.
