Krachi East NADMO Supports Storm-Affected Schools

The Krachi East National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has supported two schools affected by severe storms in the area with eight packets of iron sheets.
The organization presented five packets of iron sheets to Yariga No 2, a farming community Basic Primary school and three packets of iron sheets to Adumadum Basic primary school.
Mr. Prosper Kumah, School Management Committee (SMC) member, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the donation  was a relief to the schools, which were struggling to cope with the aftermath of the storms.
He said the iron sheets would help fix damaged roofs, ensuring a safe learning environment for students.
Mr. Jonathan Dzunu, newly appointed NADMO Director in the Krachi East, presenting the roofing sheets, stated that his outfit could not hesitate in responding positively to the request by the Municipal Assembly since the current state of the classrooms posed serious threat to lives.

He said a team from NADMO would be deployed to conduct routine checks on public schools in the Municipality to ensure their safety and not a source of danger to the students.
Mr. Dzunu assured the communities that his administration would work effectively to resolve issues affecting storm-damaged public schools in the area.
Speaking to stakeholders, the director urged school authorities to have confidence in his administration’s ability to address the challenges posed by the storms.
He emphasized that NADMO was committed to supporting affected schools and ensuring that students could continue their education in a safe and conducive environment.
He highlighted efforts to provide relief and support to communities impacted by disasters.
