“Obviously getting this award means a lot. It’s something I’ve worked hard for. It’s been difficult at times in my career, but to achieve what I’ve done this year and to do it at such a level, it’s fantastic,” he stated.

Preceding this accolade, Gyökeres, who has already scored 35 goals in the 2024/25 season (26 for Sporting and nine for Sweden), was also named Sweden’s best striker of the year.
