The Berekum East branch of the Zongo Women Caucus of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bono Region has called on President John Dramani Mahama to nominate Madam Hajia Fati as the Berekum East Municipal Chief Executive.
Addressing a news conference at Berekum, Madam Barikisu Osman, the organiser of the Berekum branch of the Caucus highlighted the significant contributions of Mad Fati towards the growth and development of the NDC in the constituency.
She said Mad Fati, now the Presiding Member of Berekum East Municipal Assembly had remained loyal and committed the course of the NDC saying she therefore remained the ideal candidate for the MCE position.
As the Bono Regional Women Organiser and by dint of hard work, Mad Fati was able to lead the party to win additional five parliamentary seats, bringing the total parliamentary seats of the NDC to 11 out of the 12 seats in the region.
Mad Osman therefore urged President Mahama to consider the candidate and to satisfy the caucus and other NDC supporters in the constituency.
