WAEC Debunks Relocation Rumors, Headquarters Remains in Ghana

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has denied allegations that it is considering relocating its headquarters from Ghana to Nigeria.

Recent media reports have suggested that financial difficulties caused by the Ghanaian government’s debt to WAEC have seriously affected its operations, sparking talks of a possible relocation.

However, WAEC Public Relations Officer, John Kapi, dismissed the reports, saying that no decision has been taken.

“There has been no discussion in this regard. Therefore, the law that established WEAC stipulates that the headquarters of WEAC will be here in Accra. “Since then, nothing has changed. So I think we can’t confirm that we haven’t had such discussions and there are no plans to do so.”
