Vinicius Jr Out for Three Weeks with Hamstring Injury

The Brazilian will miss the match against Liverpool. Real Madrid will be without their star player Vinicius Jr. for their trip to Liverpool in the Champions League and the next few matches due to a hamstring injury.

The Foward is suffering from a left leg injury, which presents a serious handicap for the Spanish giants as they prepare to face the Premier League leaders on Wednesday night.

The club said: “Following the tests carried out today by the Real Madrid medical services on our player Vinicius Jr., he has been diagnosed with an injury to the biceps femoris of his left leg. His progress will be monitored.”

Good news for Merengues coach Carlo Ancelotti: Lucas Vazquez, Aurelien Tchouameni and Rodrygo are all back from injury. The two players most likely to be on the bench for a crucial Champions League match are Arda Guler and Dani Ceballos, who started against Leganes.

The Brazilian helped Kylian Mbappé score Real Madrid’s first goal against Leganes and played the whole game, but will now be out for some time, including the trip to Anfield.
Real said on Monday that Vinicius Jr was “awaiting an evaluation” after being “diagnosed with an injury to the biceps femoris of his left leg.”

Due to the exact timing of the problem, he will not be able to play in the mid-week. The biceps femoris is a muscle located at the back of the leg and any damage to it can be extremely painful.
