The Italian Maestro: Carlo Ancelotti Wins Best FIFA Men’s Coach Award

Italian tactician Carlo Ancelotti won the FIFA Best Men’s Coach award at the Aspire Academy in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday.

The manager guided Real Madrid to La Liga and UEFA Champions League titles last season, as well as lifting the Spanish Super Cup trophy.

“Football has given me and continues to give me a lot of emotions. Most of the time they are positive, sometimes negative. But emotions are the only reason why, after 48 years [in football], I am still alive,'” Ancelotti said after receiving the award. He holds the title for the most successful manager in the history of the Champions League, winning it a total of five times – twice with Milan and three times with Madrid.

Earlier this year, Ancelotti won the men’s Johan Cruyff Trophy – awarded to the best male coach of the year – at the Ballon d’Or ceremony.
