Tema Education Directorate holds 2025 Kiddie March past

The Tema Metro Education Directorate has held its 2025 Kiddie March Past to celebrate Ghana’s Independence Day with kids from kindergarten schools within Tema participating.
The parade, which was on the theme: “Reflect, Review, and Reset, saw participating children smartly turned out and displaying their marching skills, with others performing dancing and singing activities.
Mrs Bernice Ofori, Tema Metro Education Director, charged school facilitators to set a foundation for lifelong learning, build confidence, and foster pride in new skills to help the kids grow.
“By reflecting, we teach them to learn from their experiences and grow stronger every day,” she said, adding that facilitators hold great power to help the kids grow, learn, and become the best version of themselves.

Mrs Ofori advised the kids not to give up in life if things do not go the way they envisioned, adding that “it is like pressing the restart button on a video game when we want to try again. It is okay to make mistakes; they help you learn every day.”
She applauded the organisers of the Regional Arts and Culture Festival for instilling and teaching children about the diversity of culture.
The education director mentioned that she has instituted a model kindergarten school within the metropolis to ensure that every basic school has a kindergarten attached.
She noted that she would institute an Early Childhood Development Training Centre that would facilitate the development, training, and upgrading of KG teachers within the metropolis.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Wisdom Wilson Kudzi, the Tema Community One Police Commander, commended the children for their performances.
