The Tafo government hospital in the Ashanti Region has received four essential life-saving equipment from the Kofi Job Foundation, the charitable arm of Kofi Job Construction Company, based in Kumasi.
The equipment were provided to assist the hospital in treating infants facing various health conditions.
The gesture was extended following a formal request made by the hospital management to the Foundation, dedicated to supporting quality healthcare delivery and improvement of the health of Ghanaians in communities across Ghana.
The items estimated at Ghc100,000.00, included one phototherapy machine, one Vein Finder, two C-PAP machines, and four suction machines.
It is estimated that these items will help in the treatment and management of various medical conditions of over 300 infants within a year.
Dr. Esther Gyebi, Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, speaking at the ceremony, emphasized the Foundation’s commitment to supporting the treatment of pediatric illnesses and was prepared to offer ongoing assistance to individuals and organizations in need.
Dr. Grace Naado, Head of the Pediatric Department at the hospital, thanked the Foundation for the timely gesture.
She highlighted the significance of the phototherapy machine, stating that its absence had previously posed serious challenges in treating childhood jaundice and other infant illnesses.
Dr. Naado said the availability of the equipment signified that approximately 300 infants and children, who were previously underserved would now have access to high-quality treatment.
She expressed profound gratitude to the Foundation, acknowledging the substantial positive impact the equipment would have on the quality healthcare delivery at the facility.
