Surprising Reconciliation: Empress Gifty and Nana Ama McBrown share cordial moment amid ongoing tensions

Two on-screen rivals, Empress Gifty and Nana Ama McBrown, unexpectedly crossed paths at the one-week funeral observation of Dr. Osei Kwame Despite’s in-law, despite their recent silent social media feud. Many anticipated a tense interaction, given the ongoing friction between the two.

Their conflict can be traced back to when Empress Gifty launched a new cooking show on UTV, which took over the slot of “McBrown’s Kitchen” after Nana Ama McBrown’s move to Media General. At that time, McBrown reacted by criticizing what she viewed as “copycats” entering the cooking show arena, asserting her dominance in the field. This sparked a series of jabs between the two personalities. Additionally, there were allegations that McBrown had repeatedly seized opportunities meant for Empress Gifty, including claims surrounding the “Onua Showtime” program. These incidents only deepened the tension between them and their fans on social media.

However, despite the ongoing feud, their encounter at the funeral was surprisingly cordial. The two were seen interacting warmly, even complimenting each other’s looks. Empress Gifty used the moment to ask McBrown about promoting her new song.

“Please, you haven’t recorded a video for my new song yet,” Empress Gifty remarked.

“What song?” McBrown inquired.

“My new song,” Gifty replied.

McBrown then assured her, “I won’t let our enemies rejoice over us; I’ll record a video for your song, okay?”

Empress Gifty added, “Don’t let our enemies get to us, please.”

Their exchange suggested a possible thawing of the tension between them, much to the surprise of onlookers.
