Odeefuor Ogyeamasan Boahen Korkor II, the Paramount Chief of the Sunyani Traditional Area, has lauded security operatives and the media for their high level of professionalism that has helped to preserve the prevailing peace of the area.

He called for togetherness for the purpose of development, emphasising his readiness to collaborate with the chiefs and all stakeholders to maintain and strengthen the prevailing peace.

Odeefuor Korkor II gave the commendation when interacting with some of the chiefs at a gathering held at the Nana Bosoma II palace in Sunyani.

“Let us come together as the Chiefs of Sunyani and to protect and preserve our good image,” he stated, assuring them of his commitment to facilitate the development of the traditional area.

He said peaceful co-existence was required to spur socio-economic growth and development.

Nana Kwaku Sarbeng II, the Akwamuhene of Sunyani Traditional Area said: “Now Sunyani has a Paramount Chief.”

Nana Sarbeng called on everybody to contribute to the development of the area.

Earlier, scores of people, including the clergy, imams and government officials gave the Paramount Chief a rousing reception at the Sunyani Airport to welcome him from the United States where he lived and worked for years.
