Nollywood actress Stella Damasus has paid a heartfelt tribute to her late husband, Jaiye Aboderin, two decades after his untimely death.

In a poignant Instagram post, Damasus shared that she and her family revisited the site where Aboderin was laid to rest. The ceremony held special significance as their now-grown children sought to honour their father’s legacy, making the moment deeply meaningful.

Reflecting on the emotional occasion, Damasus expressed gratitude for the strength to endure and acknowledged the support of family and friends.

“Exactly 20 years ago today, my husband Jaiye Aboderin passed away. 20 years later, with his children grown enough to honour his legacy in the same place, we went back there,” she wrote.

She continued, “It was not easy to get through this, but I am grateful to God for strength. Special thanks to my family and friends who joined us and those who couldn’t make it but prayed and called. It is well with us. Jaiye is forever in our hearts. May his soul continue to rest in peace.”

Jaiye Aboderin, who passed away in 2004 after five years of marriage to Damasus, remains a cherished memory for his family, who continue to honour his enduring legacy.
