The National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) National Communication Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, has urged residents of Mfantseman in the Central Region to vote out their current Member of Parliament (MP), Ophelia Hayford, in the upcoming 2024 elections.
Gyamfi made these remarks during separate community engagements at Abandze and Kromantse, two fishing communities in the Mfantseman constituency. He criticized Hayford’s tenure, describing her as a non-performing MP who merely adds to the numbers in Parliament without making any meaningful impact.
In contrast, Gyamfi extolled the qualities of the NDC’s parliamentary candidate for the 2024 election, Dr. Prince Kojo Arhin. He described Arhin as:
– Accomplished
– Dynamic
– Sociable
– An HR professional with the capacity to bring quality representation to the people of Mfantseman
Gyamfi emphasized that the Mfantseman constituency currently lacks meaningful representation, hindering development. He attributed this to Hayford’s ineffective advocacy skills, earning her the title of a “yea yea MP” in Parliament.
Gyamfi urged the electorate to vote for Dr. Prince Kojo Arhin, who is better placed to deliver quality representation in Parliament and advocate for the needed development of the area.
The NDC’s Communication Officer has been on a tour of the Central Region, accompanied by the Minority Leader in Parliament. During their visit to Kromantse, they responded to an appeal from the chief to complete a stalled community centre project. The NDC delegation donated GH¢10,000 on behalf of NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, assuring the community that the next NDC government will ensure the project’s timely completion.
