In a recent social media video, Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, offered heartfelt advice to Ghanaian dancehall star Charles Nii Armah Mensah, aka Shatta Wale, encouraging him to steer clear of conflicts and focus solely on his music career.
Rudeboy, a member of the renowned Nigerian music duo P-Square, referred to Shatta Wale as “my brother from West Africa, Ghana,” and shared that they had engaged in a “deep and serious talk.”
“The most important thing as a musician is doing good music—no beefs attached,” Rudeboy emphasized, while directly addressing Shatta Wale. He cautioned that engaging in beefs could result in financial losses, stressing, “If you beef, you’ll lose money. Trust me.”
During the interaction, Rudeboy rose from his seat to warmly hug Shatta Wale, who stood quietly, holding a cup and listening attentively. With a lighthearted tone, Rudeboy joked, “This stubborn guy, I want to make him repent,” to which Shatta Wale responded with his signature hearty laughter, repeating, “Repent.”
In the entertainment industry, “beef” refers to conflicts, often verbal or lyrical, that sometimes escalate into violence. Shatta Wale, known for his fiery social media rants and controversial tactics, has had notable disputes with figures like Stonebwoy, Bullgod, and Burna Boy.
The two musicians met at the residence of blogger, promoter, and singer Tunde Ednut in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
