Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has accused the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) of mismanaging Ghana’s development during their 16 years in power. Addressing a gathering in the Tano North Constituency, Dr. Prempeh highlighted the NPP’s achievements, including the introduction of social intervention programs such as the National Health Insurance Scheme, Free Basic Education, and Free SHS.
Dr. Prempeh emphasized the NPP’s commitment to improving the lives of Ghanaians, contrasting it with the NDC’s perceived lack of impactful initiatives during their tenure. He urged the public to support the NPP for continued development, citing the party’s track record of implementing effective social programs.
This statement comes as Ghana approaches its next general elections, with the NPP seeking re-election. Dr. Prempeh’s remarks are seen as part of the NPP’s campaign efforts to highlight their achievements and differentiate themselves from the opposition.
