reject Bawumia at the votes on December 7 — Mahama

In order to clear the path for an economic recovery through responsible management under an NDC-led government, John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) presidential candidate, has urged voters to reject Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia in the December elections.

He claimed that supporting the presidential nominee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) would be a vote in favor of ongoing hardship and poor economic management.

Voting for Bawumia indicates that you approve of the way our finances are being handled, the amount of debt we have accrued, and the misery we are currently experiencing. Therefore, you will have to vote them out of office if you are unhappy with what is going on,” he stated.

Tour of the campaign
Last Wednesday marked the beginning of Mr. Mahama’s two-day campaign tour of the Western North Region. He was speaking at a community engagement in Enchi, in the Aowin Constituency.
Retaining the NPP, which he claimed had failed the people, would entail supporting bad governance and economic mismanagement led by Dr. Bawumia, the Chairman of the Economic Management Team, the former president clarified.
He assured them of better times under an NDC-led administration while reminding the audience of the current economic hardship.

“The economy is difficult for Ghanaians, especially for entrepreneurs who have seen slow growth in their companies,” Mr. Mahama stated.
On Wednesday, Mr. Mahama’s campaign team touched down in the Western North Region.
This came after Mr. Mahama concluded a series of meetings with Kumasi’s clergy and creative arts industry stakeholders on Monday and Tuesday.

In order to convey his ideas and suggestions for Ghana’s progress, Mr. Mahama has started a national tour.
He has been to many areas as part of his #Mahama4Change2024 campaign, spending days advocating in multiple constituencies.

To campaign and win votes in the December election, the former president has traveled to the Western North to meet with chiefs, other local officials, and opinion leaders. He has also engaged with party members, residents, and the general public.
Reset By emphasizing initiatives found in the NDC’s 2024 platform, Mr. Mahama is attempting to persuade the public to embrace the party’s “Reset Ghana” slogan.
