The Redemption Temple Assemblies of God has dedicated a school building, a library and a mission house during its 25th anniversary celebration at Ashaiman.
This forms part of the church’s commitment to promote education and spiritual growth within the communities it operate in.
The Reverend Michael Kwesi Dei, the Head Pastor of the Redemption Temple Assemblies of God and the District Pastor of the Ashaiman East Assembly, recounted how the school had progressed and currently has a population of 400 students and 20 staff members.
Rev Dei noted that the church was birthed on July 15, 2000, and has served the community through evangelism and prayers, stating that as part of its anniversary, it decided to dedicate the school block and library to train the young ones in the way of the Lord.
He outlined some challenges the church faced and overcame over the years, expressing gratitude to God, church members, missionaries and other stakeholders.
He advised Christians to worship God in truth and to pray without ceasing for all their wishes to be fulfilled.
Rev Dr Yong Kim, a Korean missionary, noted that the establishment of the Korean library for the school was to motivate the students to read more while promoting quality education in the area.
He said that the presence of the church and the teachings from the Bible have shaped the lives of many Ghanaians and urged churches and religious leaders to continue the Christian teaching to help shape the future of the students.
Mr William Ofosu Asante, the 2024 Kpone-Katamanso parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), urged Christians to live an impactful life to earn God’s endless blessings.
He reiterated that Christians deserved to be well-committed in serving God to prove their true fellowship and encouraged them to trust in love, believe in the worship of God, and avoid malice and evil deeds.
Chief Superintendent Tony Adepa, from the Criminal Investigation Department, Ghana Police Service Headquarters, advised Christians to pray fervently for the church and the country, while admonishing the youth to desist from criminal activities, as the law would deal with them when caught.
