PSG Chief Al-Khelaifi Drops Hint on Mohamed Salah Transfer

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has spoken about transfer links with Liverpool’s “fear” striker Mohamed Salah.

Salah has confirmed that he has yet to receive an offer to extend his contract from Liverpool. Concerns about his long-term commitment to the Reds have grown over time. If the Egyptian striker does not sign a new contract by January 1, he will be free to begin pre-contract negotiations with foreign clubs in anticipation of a possible summer move.

PSG are looking for a high-profile signing to fill the void left by Kylian MbappĂ©, who joined Real Madrid on a free transfer earlier this year. French newspaper L’Equipe said Salah was open to the idea of joining PSG, with transfer negotiations already underway, but Al-Khelaifi has now denied the allegations.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Al-Khelaifi cleared things up and said: “It’s not true. He’s a fantastic, outstanding player, but we’ve never thought of signing him, to be honest. We know every club loves to have him, but these rumors for us are simply not true.”
