Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah, the Founder and Leader of the Believers Worship Centre, has encouraged President John Dramani Mahama not to lose hope after the recent helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight state officials on duty.
The unfortunate incident occurred on August 06, 2025, at Asikaman Brofoyedu in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region.
During in a live telecast of a church service dedicated to honouring the memory of the victims which was monitored by the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Prophet Kyei-Duah encouraged the President to remain hopeful and resolute amid this difficult period.
He also advised the President to be wary of false prophets who may attempt to mislead him during these trying times.
He said he believed that Ghana would be restored to regain its former glory, and called on Ghanaians, particularly those affected by the tragedy, to accept the incident as part of God’s plan.
Prophet Kyei-Duah also encouraged Christians to be mindful of their words considering the national tragedy, urging them to foster a spirit of unity and support for one another.
Ghana on Wednesday, August 06, 2025, suffered a national tragedy when eight top State Officials who were enroute to Obuasi for a national assignment were crashed to death.
They were Dr Edward Omane Boamah, the Minister of Defense, Dr Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale Central and Minister of Environment, Science and Technology, Alhaji Muniru Mohammed Limuna, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator, Dr Samuel Sarpong, a former Minister of Agriculture and NDC National Vice Chairman, Mr Samuel Aboagye, a former NDC Parliamentary Candidate and Deputy Director General of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Mane Twum-Ampadu and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.
Dr Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed and Alhaji Muniru Mohammed Limuna were however, buried on Sunday, August 10 in line with Islamic religion and traditions.
The rest of the deceased will be buried on Friday, August 15.
