President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Alexander Afenyo-Markin, Member of Parliament for Effutu, as the new board chairman of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).

Afenyo-Markin takes over from Herbert Krapa, who has been appointed Minister of State at the Energy Ministry.

This appointment was announced in a letter signed by the President’s Secretary, Ambassador Nana Asante Bediatuo.
