Hiplife star and former radio presenter Pope Skinny has shared how his fame both complicated and facilitated his acquisition of a US green card.

“Fame has opened doors for me that an ordinary name couldn’t,” Pope Skinny remarked. He revealed that during his green card interview, “God being so good, when they Googled my name, they found some good things about me.”

The rapper reflected on the importance of both wealth and recognition, stating, “There’s a reason people are not satisfied with just being rich. You have to be rich and famous. Fame is good—everyone should experience it. If it weren’t for fame, I wouldn’t be here.”

Pope Skinny credited his fame for providing him with what he “eats, wears, and what he’s achieved so far.” Despite living in the US, he clarified that he hasn’t fully relocated and maintains homes in both Ghana and America. His family, he explained, resides in both countries.

Additionally, he confirmed his marital status, hinting at his ability to travel freely between the two nations. “I didn’t go to America by sea or desert. If I can go back and forth so freely, you must know I am married,” he disclosed.
