Pogba to Marseille? De Zerbi Says There’s Room for French Midfielder

Olympique de Marseille are increasingly interested in Paul Pogba. The Frenchman will be free to resume his playing career in March 2025 after his four-year doping ban was reduced to just 18 months. However, as things stand, he has no club to play for.

And this, after the mutual termination of his contract with Juventus last November.
Marseille have been heavily linked with a move for the free agent. Former club and international teammate Adrien Rabiot has “invited” Pogba to join him at Marseille, with the topic being raised by sporting director Medhi Benatia and president Pablo Longoria.

The latter said: “There are currently no discussions,” Longoria told a news conference on Wednesday. There are no discussions with Paul and no decision has been made yet. I’m not closing the door on him being on the market, but there’s a lot of news about Paul.

This is more speculation and wishful thinking than reality. ”
However, RMC Sport understands that OM’s interest in Pogba is real and that this interest is mutual. Phoceens manager Roberto De Zerbi is the latest to react to the rumors.

“I only want champions in my team. Pogba has always been a champion, but to be honest, during my discussions with the staff we never talked about it,” the Italian said in a press conference on Friday.

He added: “But if the champions come, we can try to find space for Paul Pogba.” These words will not silence the incessant gossip.
