The Plan B 2025 Community Gala has kicked off in Tema, bringing together football teams from Greater Accra, Eastern, Central and Volta Regions.
The first match of the tournament saw Tema City FC and Express FC ending the game goalless at the end of full time.
However, Express FC emerged victorious in a 3-1 goal penalty shootout.
Bankuman FC, on the other hand, claimed a comfortable 2–0 win over Team Greatness, while Abbey FC edged past Young Line FC on a 6-5 penalty shootout after a 1–1 draw match.
In other fixtures, 22 United won over K Son FC with a 2–0 victory, and Jacka FC also secured a commanding 2–0 win against Fine Print FC.
A total of 32 teams registered for the tournament, with four teams competing on the day.

Mrs Comfort Aniagyei, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Freeminds Communications Limited, announced that at the end of the tournament, the third-placed team would receive bronze medals, a football, and a cash prize of GHs 4,000, up from the previous GHs 3,000.
She added that the first runner-up would also take home silver medals, a football, a set of jerseys, and GHs6,000, while the winner would be rewarded with a mega trophy, medals, jerseys, a football, an educational tour to be unveiled at the closing ceremony, as well as an enhanced cash prize of GHs12,000.
Mr Kudjoe Fianu, the CEO of Accra Great Olympics, indicated that the best goal scorer would receive a plaque and GHs500, while the best goalkeeper and fair play award winner would respectively be awarded a plaque and GHs500 and a plaque and GHs1,000.
