Pastor Kofi Oduro, the founder of Alabaster International Ministries, has cautioned women against taking on household responsibilities such as cooking, cleaning, and other domestic tasks for men they are not married to.
“Ladies, stop acting like a wife to a man who hasn’t married you,” he advised.
During a recent sermon, Pastor Oduro emphasized that these behaviours, though common in Ghanaian culture, often lead to women being undervalued in relationships.
“When courting, you shouldn’t cook, wash, or spend weekends at a man’s house doing everything for him. When you do, he has no motivation to marry you. Why would he pay for the cow when he’s already getting the milk for free?” he explained.
