Pappy Kojo opens up on alcohol addiction, apologizes for past attacks on celebrities

Ghanaian rapper Pappy Kojo has revealed that his recent attacks on fellow celebrities were fueled by his struggle with alcohol addiction. He has since overcome this addiction and expressed remorse for the hurt he caused, extending apologies to those he offended.

In an interview with Kingdom FM, Pappy Kojo shared his regrets, stating, “I regret attacking people and have reached out to apologize. It was the alcohol that led to my behavior, but I have stopped drinking now. Alcohol can destroy your life and take you to unimaginable places.”

When asked about his relationship with actress Yvonne Nelson, Pappy Kojo clarified that while he never directly disrespected her, he has apologized to “the Yvonne” he disrespected. His tensions with Nelson escalated when she published her memoir, which featured mentions of celebrities like Sarkodie and Iyanya, causing her to trend for weeks.

At the time, Pappy Kojo aligned himself with Sarkodie, even creating a dance challenge for the rapper’s diss response to Nelson. He has also been seen on social media hurling profanity at Yvonne Nelson during performances, often unprovoked.
