Born Joseph Kwamena Sekum Haizel on January 20, 1940, he hails from the Fiekessim lineage of the Nana Birempong Cudjoe Ebiraze Royal Family Stool.
With a distinguished career in accounting and administration, Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II was well-prepared for his royal duties. He is renowned for his promotion of peace, education, sports, traditional values, and philanthropy, as well as his exceptional leadership skills and sense of humor.
On July 17, 1998, he was installed as the 9th occupant of the Nana Birempong Cudjoe Royal stool, marking the beginning of a remarkable 25-year journey. This milestone coincides with the 60th anniversary of the iconic Oguaa Fetu Afahye festival, an annual celebration of the area’s rich cultural heritage.
The silver jubilee celebration was spectacular featuring an unforgettable showcase of Oguaa’s traditions, music, and artistry. The festivities culminated in a magnificent durbar, bringing together esteemed guests, including the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for an unforgettable experience.
