Nyak City Investment Company to build 1000- bed hostel at UCC Nyakrom Campus

The Nyak City Investment Company limited has secured architectural designs to build 1,000 bed capacity hostel facility at University of Cape Coast (UCC) Agona Nyakrom Campus to augment accommodation and increase students’ intake for the next academic year
According to the Mr Yawson Otoo, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the construction of the UCC Agona Nyakrom Campus will help to create more opportunity for Senior High School students in and around Nyakrom to get easy access to tertiary education.
Addressing the media at Agona Nyakrom, Mr Otoo said the establishment of the UCC Campus was golden opportunity for the people of Nyakrom and it environs to take advantage to boost economic activities in the Area.
He urged them to ensure the campus became vibrant to serve its purpose and also asked on individuals and many others to actively invest in a treasury bill for the hostel to guarantee a lifetime returns in future.
Mr Otoo was optimistic that the satellite campus would become fully fledged University, stressing that it could be achieved if the citizens of Nyakrom both home and abroad, invested in the hostel.
He said the Nyak City Investment company had offered sponsorship package to the Planning Committee of the 2025 Akwambo festival committee and urged them to inform the people to invest in the hostel facility.
The CEO  said the company had a five year plan to build 10,000 bed,  but for now 1,000 beds would be completed,  and appealed to families and individuals who owned lands around the campus to support them.
Mr  Otoo said the campus authorities have widely opened their doors for private companies, corporate bodies, individuals and many others to get on board to help provide hostels around.
