NPP Running Mate Dr. Prempeh Highlights Party’s Successes, NDC’s Failures
Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Running Mate, drew a stark contrast between the NPP’s impactful social interventions and the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) failed initiatives, notably the infamous “Guinea Fowl” project.
Addressing a campaign rally at Assin Akropong in the Central Region on September 7, 2024, Dr. Prempeh touted the NPP’s impressive record of investing in transformative social programs. He highlighted initiatives such as the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy, the National Health Insurance Scheme, and the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) program, which have positively impacted millions of Ghanaians.
In contrast, Dr. Prempeh ridiculed the NDC’s “Guinea Fowl” project, describing it as a non-existent initiative that failed to benefit anyone. His remarks sparked laughter and applause from the crowd, who seemed to agree with his assessment of the NDC’s project.
Dr. Prempeh emphasized that the NPP’s focus on tangible, life-changing initiatives sets it apart from the NDC’s failed promises. As the 2024 elections approach, his comments are seen as a strategic move to highlight the NPP’s achievements and contrast them with the NDC’s perceived failures.
The NPP’s Running Mate’s remarks underscore the party’s commitment to delivering on its promises and improving the lives of Ghanaians, while questioning the NDC’s ability to do the same.
