NPP Won’t Sacrifice Victory for Peace, Says Salam Mustapha

Salam Mustapha, National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), made a bold declaration at a mini rally in the Effia Constituency of the Western Region, stating that the NPP will not compromise its chances of winning the upcoming election for the sake of peace. This statement was in response to comments made by his National Democratic Congress (NDC) counterpart, George Opare Addo, who claimed that the NDC would not be a victim of peace.

The rally took place ahead of the NPP’s manifesto launch, scheduled for Sunday, August 18, 2024, which is expected to outline the party’s vision for economic growth, social equity, and sustainable development.

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the NPP’s running mate, also addressed the rally, challenging the NDC’s running mate to a debate on the education sector. He emphasized the significance of the election, urging voters not to entrust the nation’s future to the NDC.
