A prominent member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ahafo Ano North Constituency, Hon. Kwabena Osei Bonsu, has defected to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) along with over 200 supporters.

Osei Bonsu, a native of Tepa-Mabang and Akwasiase, cited his reasons for joining the NDC, stating that despite contesting as an independent candidate in the 2020 general election, he received no engagement from his former party, NPP. In contrast, the NDC reached out to him, leading to his defection.

Osei Bonsu also addressed rumors surrounding his alleged disregard for the President’s call during the 2020 elections, providing clarification on the circumstances.

The 2024 NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Ahafo Ano North, Hon. Akwasi Adusei, welcomed Osei Bonsu and his supporters, expressing his delight at their decision to join the party.
