Justin Kodua Frimpong, General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has categorically denied rumors that Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) is seriously ill. In an interview with journalists on September 9, 2024, Mr. Frimpong described the rumors as baseless and politically motivated, aimed at scoring cheap points.
Mr. Frimpong assured that Dr. Prempeh is “very fit” and focused on his campaign tour, working tirelessly to ensure the NPP’s victory in the 2024 polls. He emphasized the party’s leadership commitment to delivering on its promises to Ghanaians, unaffected by false reports.
Attributing the rumors to desperate political opponents, Mr. Frimpong urged the public to disregard them as “malicious” and “unfounded.” His comments come as the NPP intensifies its campaign efforts ahead of the 2024 elections, with NAPO playing a key role.
By dismissing the rumors, Mr. Frimpong aims to alleviate concerns among party supporters and maintain momentum in the NPP’s campaign.
