Richard Ahiagbah, Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has pledged to advocate for a people-centered healthcare policy in Ghana following his recovery from a near-death experience at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
Ahiagbah was involved in a serious accident on July 27 while traveling to Kumasi and received treatment at KATH before being discharged on August 16. He expressed gratitude to the medical professionals who cared for him, praising their dedication and expertise.
Reflecting on his experience, Ahiagbah acknowledged the deficiencies in Ghana’s healthcare delivery system and committed to supporting efforts to improve healthcare outcomes. He announced plans to establish the Turning Point Foundation, aimed at promoting a people-centered, outcome-driven health policy regime in Ghana.
