Veteran Nollywood actor Kanayo O Kanayo has sparked conversations on social media by criticizing men who fail to meet their financial obligations to their families.

In a candid Instagram post, the 62-year-old actor emphasized that men are expected to support their households through hard work and dedication, asserting that those who neglect these duties “have no right to intimacy.”

Kanayo also warned women against shielding their husbands from financial accountability, cautioning that doing so could encourage “laziness and irresponsibility.”

“A man who cannot feed his family does not need to use his private part on a woman. It is a responsibility. This is advice to young women. Know who you marry,” he said.

The actor further urged women to choose life partners wisely, stressing the importance of selecting men who understand and fulfill their duties.

Citing personal experiences, he reflected on the difficulties women face when their partners neglect financial responsibilities, especially when children are involved.

“As we read in the holy books, a man who does not provide for his family is worse than an unbeliever,” Kanayo emphasized, adding, “Every man has a responsibility to his family, and hard work is essential.”
