Nkwanta Community Vocational Training Institute hosts regional meeting to boost skills development

The Nkwanta Community Vocational Training Institute (NCVTI) has hosted a training programme for coordinators’ and providers’ of technical and vocational skills from both Volta and Oti Regions.
The meeting aimed at equipping stakeholders with the latest knowledge and trending technical and vocational education and training (TVET), empowering them to deliver high-quality services to the community.
Mr. Baba Iddi Mohammed, the Volta/Oti Regional Coordinator of the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education Training, said despite the conflicts in the area, there was the need for peace and collaboration in achieving common goals.
“We have learned the values of peace and devastating effects of conflict, but we have also seen the resilience and determination of our people and together we are committed to restoring what we have lost and building a brighter future,” he noted.


Mr. Mohammed, through interactive discussions, addressed pressing issues and challenges associated with the programme, offering solutions and pledging his support to both the training coordinators and training providers.
The empowering engagement underscored NCVTI’s dedication to fostering a culture of innovation, skills development, and community upliftment.
Mr Bernard Joachim Potakey, the Principal of Nkwanta Community Vocational Training Institute, said the institute was committed to providing learners with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in an ever- evolving job market.
He said the institution remained steadfast in its mission to empower individuals and transform the community, one skills at a time.
Mr Potakey acknowledged the facilitators’ contributions to the progress of the institution.
