The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced a five-day nationwide fasting and prayer session for its members as part of their preparations for the upcoming general elections. Sammy Gyamfi, the party’s National Communications Officer, described the spiritual exercise as a crucial complement to their physical campaign efforts.
Speaking to Adom Online, Mr. Gyamfi expressed confidence in the NDC’s chances, emphasizing that the groundwork had been solid. “We have done all that is humanly possible on the ground. Spiritually, we are praying and fasting around the clock,” he noted.
He encouraged supporters to remain optimistic, saying, “The summary of our message is simple: Ghanaians should vote based on their living conditions. We are confident this election will bring the change the people desire.”
The NDC is set to hold its final rally today, December 5, at Zurak Park in Madina, Accra, under the theme “Resetting Ghana—Let’s Finish Strong!”
With the elections just two days away, the party has renewed its commitment to “reset” the country, criticizing the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) for failing to deliver on its promises. The NDC asserts that Ghana is at a critical juncture that requires urgent reforms and a new direction.
As the countdown to the polls continues, the NDC remains resolute in its efforts to wrestle power from the NPP and usher in what they term a “transformative era” for Ghana.
