MTN Ghana has expressed deep sadness and shock at the devastating military helicopter crash that led to the tragic death of the two ministers of state and six others.
The late Dr Edward Omane Boamah, the Minister for Defence, and Dr Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, died in the fatal crash, which occurred in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to His Excellency the President of the Republic, the Government and the people of Ghana, and to the families, friends and colleagues of all those affected by this tragic incident,” the telecommunication company said in a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency in Sunyani.
“We appeal to all to honour the memories of the departed with dignity and to use their social media platforms to promote messages of hope, solidarity, and compassion,” the statement signed by Nana Kofi Asare, the Acting Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer
