Mrs Christiana Agyapong, the wife Mr Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, one of the Election 2028 Presidential Aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) says her husband’s ambitions to become the next President is in the supreme interest of the nation. She emphasised that her husband was also sensitive to the plight of women and youth, promising that Mr Agyapong’s government would create more job opportunities for women and the youth and called on the NPP delegates to vote for him when they go to polls on January 31, 2026.

The NPP has set January 31, for its Election 2028 Presidential Primary to elect a flagbearer for the party. Interacting with female polling stations and women organisers of the NPP at Atebubu in the Bono East Region, Mrs Agyapong said her husband, also a former Member of Parliament for Assin Central had an exceptional track record to lead the NPP and win the Election 2028.
She said Mr Agyapong remained committed to strengthening the pro-poor policies and programmes introduced by the former President John Agyekum Kufuor’s administration like the free maternal care and the school feeding programme. “My husband is ready to continue with the good legacies of the former President Kufuor when he becomes the next President”, she assured, saying “decent job will be available for university graduates under the government of Mr Agyapong.”
Mrs Agyapong advised the NPP delegates to maintain their trust and confidence and endorse her husband to lead the NPP to regain political power in the Election 2028.
