Ghana is currently one of the African markets with the quickest rate of growth for digital payments.
Due to the ease and security of the service, e-commerce and mobile payments are becoming more and more popular, which has impacted this increase, according to Mr. Mingle.
According to him, MoMo now offers loans, insurance, investments, foreign remittance, and many other essential financial services, in addition to payment processing and money transfers.
We’ve seen firsthand how MoMo has given small and medium-sized businesses the resources they need to run their finances more effectively, enabling them to prosper.
He praised the platform’s advantages, saying, “We have seen how it has facilitated access to education, healthcare, and essential services, improving the quality of life for countless families.””
He went on to say that MoMo’s pervasive power has made it easier for people to access government services and allowed the government to collect taxes, levies, and fees more easily.
According to him, MoMo has also closed the gap between the banked and the unbanked, elevating financial inclusion to the top of the development agenda for our country.
Mr. Mingle acknowledged that despite MoMo’s achievements over the previous 15 years, there were still certain difficulties and urged teamwork to resolve them in order to keep advancing financial, digital, and economic inclusion in Ghana.”Though mobile connectivity continues to improve, there are still some coverage gaps especially in rural and remote areas and we will continue to invest in digital infrastructure to promote widespread connectivity in order to expand the frontiers of digital financial inclusion,” he stated.
He claimed that MTN MoMo had become an essential component of millions of Ghanaians’ daily lives, affecting every home and enabling mobile money transfers and receives.
Partners and users of the MoMo platform for their personal and professional endeavors took turns attesting to the platform’s long-term value.
