According to gospel singer Empress Gifty, spouses of Members of Parliament (MPs) have not taken full advantage of the opportunities and privileges granted to their husbands.

The Watch Me singer claimed in an interview on Joy Prime’s Changes show that there are many responsibilities that come with being an MP’s wife, which they aren’t doing.

The musician recently talked about why she didn’t attend her husband’s campaign, primarily because of their different occupations.

After five years of marriage to Ghanaian politician Hopeson Adorye, Empress Gifty was a strong supporter of her husband during his 2020 campaign for the Kpone-Akatamanso parliamentary seat.

She emphasized the value of women helping their spouses achieve their objectives and said she had no regrets about going with him to campaign events at the time.

Empress Gifty is certain that she will eventually become a member of parliament or the wife of the president, and she says that people shouldn’t be shocked if that happens.
