Ms Shirley Kyei, Member of Parliament (MP) for Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency in the Ashanti Region, has lauded the government’s intention to complete the Afari Military Hospital within this year.
She said, the Hospital when completed, will help improve quality health care of the people in the area and beyond, a work her heart desires.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Nkawie, the MP said, the completion of the project remained part of her prayers since she became the Parliamentary candidate and was glad to hear the statement from the President himself to complete it.
She declared her readiness to work with the incoming Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) to execute new projects and complete ongoing ones for the benefit of the people.
This she said will justify the confidence reposed in her by the constituents.
She urged the Assembly members in the area to prioritise working closely with the incoming municipal chief executive to ensure the speedy development of the area.
Ms Kyei mentioned the construction of roads and schools, extension of electricity and others, as some of the things she would do to ensure improvement in the socio- economic development of the people in the area.
