Miss Tourism Ghana 2025 showcases regional heritage through costume night

Contestants of Miss Tourism Ghana 2025 celebrated Ghana’s cultural diversity during a vibrant regional costume night held as part of the pageant’s ongoing activities.

The event, hosted at the Tourism House in Accra, featured traditional attire from all 16 regions, with each contestant presenting regalia that reflected the unique identity and heritage of her region.
Madam Delphine Brew-Hammond, Director of Events and Operations for Miss Tourism Ghana, told the Ghana News Agency that the night was “very beautiful, fun, and exciting,” and served as a platform to empower young women as cultural ambassadors.
“This is more than a pageant. It is about preserving heritage, telling our stories through fashion, and building a strong national identity through tourism,” she said.

The competition continues on Saturday, August 16, with a cooking contest and first eviction stage, where contestants will prepare authentic regional dishes to showcase Ghana’s culinary diversity.
“These events foster unity and highlight our tourism potential. They are not just competitions, they are platforms for national pride,” Madam Brew-Hammond added.

One contestant, known by her stage name Monica, received the highest commendation from judges for her presentation. She expressed her commitment to using the platform to promote tourism.
“My goal in Miss Tourism Ghana is to change the narrative because tourism will always boost Ghana’s economy. I urge my supporters to keep believing in me because I am not going home,” she said.

Miss Tourism Ghana continues to blend beauty, cultural education, and advocacy, nurturing young women to represent Ghana on the global stage.
