Ghanaian rapper Medikal has issued an unreserved apology to fellow musician Kofi Kinaata for failing to perform at the “Made in Taadi” concert as promised.
During his “Beyond Kontrol” concert on December 26, 2024, Medikal acknowledged that he had been scheduled to perform at Kinaata’s event on December 24 but forgot due to unforeseen circumstances.
“I was supposed to go to Takoradi and play a show for my brother Kofi Kinaata, but because of something, I forgot. My brother seems upset and has unfollowed me on social media,” Medikal explained.
Expressing regret, he added, “Kofi Kinaata is someone I love dearly. If he sees this or if this goes viral, my people in Takoradi should know I’m sorry, and it wasn’t intentional. I love him and I apologize.”
Medikal also reassured Kinaata of his commitment, promising to make it up at next year’s “Made in Taadi” concert. “Next year, we’ll make ‘Made in Taadi’ even better. Please follow me back because I’m your brother,” he appealed.
Kofi Kinaata’s annual “Made in Taadi” concert took place on December 24, 2024, in Takoradi and featured performances from notable Ghanaian artists, including Fameye, Kwaw Kese, and Eno Barony.
