The 2005 Year Group of Mawuli E.P. Basic School in Ho has inspired the current pupils to aim higher, emphasising that education is the key to unlocking their full potential.
Mr Mawuli Denteh, the 2005 Senior School who was among the delegation of alumni to visit the school, urged the learners to take their studies seriously and remain disciplined.
He reminded them that education was the surest pathway to success, stressing the importance of respect for teachers, punctuality, and hard work.
“We want to encourage you our young ones to set clear goals, build confidence, and persevere even in the face of challenges. We are assuring you that sacrifices made today willblossom into lasting rewards tomorrow,” Mr Denteh said.
He gave the encouragement during the delegation which included Mr Foster Bedi, Ms Wendy Assor Lowe and Ms Emilia Hagan’s visit to the school to have a heartfelt engagement with the learners and staff and to deliver a series of motivational pep talks to them.

The delegation also expressed gratitude to the school management and teachers for their dedication to nurturing generations of learners and sustaining academic and disciplinary standards over the years.
The visit formed part of activities of the year group to mark its 20th Anniversary Homecoming.
The two-day programme which was climaxed with a lively get-together, reigniting fond memories and strengthening bonds with the school, also saw the group donate two sets of football jerseys and footballs to support the school’s sports programme.
Mr Emmanuel Tsahey, the school’s Headteacher received the donation and appealed for further support to construct a modern ICT and Library block, which the alumni assured him of their support, encouraging other year groups to join hands in supporting the school’s development.
Mr Stanley Buachi, a former Mathematics teacher who graced the occasion as special guest, commended the group for maintaining unity and urged them to continue supporting one another and their alma mater, reminding them that their strength lied in solidarity and service.
“The 20th Anniversary Homecoming was not only a joyful reunion but also a touching reminder of the enduring responsibility of alumni to inspire the younger generation and contribute to the progress of their alma mater,” a member of the delegation, Mr Lambert Atsivor told Ghana News Agency.
