Mahama warns Ghanaians against NPP’s upcoming “Manifesto of Lies

John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has cautioned Ghanaians not to be deceived by the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) upcoming manifesto.

During a community engagement in Juapong, Volta Region, Mahama accused the NPP of being a “government full of lies,” claiming that many of their previous promises have gone unfulfilled.

He criticized the NPP’s newly formed 11-member committee preparing for the manifesto launch on August 18, 2024, in Takoradi, stressing that the party will only present more false promises.

Mahama urged Ghanaians to remain vigilant, stating, “This is a government full of lies and promises. On the 18th of December, they will launch a manifesto of lies, telling you ‘we are coming to do this for you.’”

“They say the first fool, is not a fool, the second fool is not a fool, who is the third fool? The third fool is the real fool. They said one child, one egg, one child one chocolate, all are lies.”

Mr Mahama added that what Ghana needs is “an experienced hand who has handled this country before and whose work we have seen. And so we are not going to try anybody.

“We are going back to experience, we are going back to expertise to turn our country around so that our youth can have a brighter future.”
