LilWin lobbies for Minister of Festivals role ahead of elections

Actor and musician Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has expressed his desire for a ministerial position in the next government just few days to Ghana’s December 7, 2024, general elections.

LilWin revealed his ambition to be appointed as Ghana’s first-ever Minister of Festivals. He emphasized his neutrality in politics but said he was ready to work with whichever government assumes office on January 7, 2025.

“Next year, all the festivities in Ghana, I’ll be the one to perform there, so I want to be appointed as the Minister of Festivals in 2025,” he said, adding with a chuckle, “Whoever wins—Cheddar, Mahama, or Bawumia—should kindly do the needful and appoint me as the Minister for Afahye.”

LilWin’s remarks have sparked laughter and discussion about his unique proposal, highlighting his confidence and creativity as a public figure.
