The leadership of the Young Minds Intellectual Quiz Championship (YMIQC) in the Anloga district of the Volta Region, is appealing for support to ensure the continuation of the initiative.
The YMIQC, an annual intellectual competition started more than six years has served as a beacon of hope and a platform for nurturing excellence among young minds in the area and beyond, but faced with financial crises for its progression.
Mr. Courage Fiawogbey, the Executive Director of the YMIQC, described the championship as more than a quiz competition, but a training ground for excellence and a catalyst for dreams to be realised.
“The championship has witnessed students been transformed, walking in shy, but leaving with enhanced confidence, courage, and deeper knowledge,” he said.
He added that the participants were considered leaders, innovators, and nation-builders of the future and the competition needed some form of financial support to produce more brilliant and responsible students in the area.
He said the executives and the leaders of the YMIQC faced various forms of challenges in organising a smooth and successful competition which played a pivotal role in shaping the journey and equipping students with skills and knowledge for future endeavors.
“We humbly invite all stakeholders and well-wishers to stand with us. Support is crucial for financing this year’s programme in covering aspects like logistics and rewarding outstanding contestants.”
Mr. Fiawogbey said that every cedi donated would be seen as an investment in a children’s future, education, and in Ghana’s tomorrow and assured that all contributions would directly impact the success and progress of the programme to benefit young participants.
He said the competition had produced brilliant students who have progressed and represented various senior high secondary schools within the area in the National Maths and Science Quiz (NMSQ) with more experienced transformation, confidence and knowledge that lighted up their prospects.
He said the leadership had expressed humility in seeking support and urged individuals, stakeholders and groups of companies to play a part in sustaining the initiative to continue the legacy to shape the future of the children.
Mr. Fiawogbey said all supporters could send donations via Mobile Money (MoMo): 0257610631 with the Name: COURAGE FIAWOGBEY, Reference: YMIQC.
