Mr Ernest Yaw Anim, Member of Parliament for Kumawu, has donated a cash amount of GHS 10,000.00 and 24 street bulbs to the Sekyere Kusi Senior High School in the constituency.
The items are to support the operations of the school and also improve security and safety on campus.
Mr Anim speaking at the ceremony explained that, the support formed part of a broader effort to strengthen educational institutions across Kumawu.
He emphasized that the street lights would help improve visibility and security at night, enabling students to learn in a safer environment, while also protecting school facilities from theft and vandalism.
Mr Anim also pledged to provide GHS 10,000.00 every quarter, to support the work of the ongoing classroom blocks initiated by his late predecessor, Mr Philip Basoah.

He noted that, continuing the legacy of Mr. Basoah was not only a responsibility, but a commitment to ensuring that every child in Kumawu had access to an improved and conducive learning environment.
Obrempong Nkrumah Agyei II, Headmaster of the school, expressed gratitude to the MP for the generous support.
He stated that, the assistance had come at a crucial time when the school was working tirelessly to expand its infrastructure to meet the growing student population.
According to him, the street lights would help improve security on campus, especially during evening preparatory sessions.
The Headmaster seized the opportunity to appeal to the MP and other stakeholders for additional support.
He highlighted the school’s urgent needs, including a boys’ dormitory, a pickup vehicle for administrative purposes, a dining hall, and other essential facilities required for quality teaching and learning.
Obrempong Agyei pointed out that, addressing some of these challenges would help improve quality education and enhance academic performance and welfare of students.
