Mr Safo Nketia, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Krachi East, has issued a stern reminder to Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates to uphold integrity and adhere to examination rules.
The MCE emphasised the importance of honesty and fairness in the examination process, urging candidates to refrain from bringing foreign materials or engage in exam malpractices.
He explained that by upholding integrity, candidates could ensure the credibility of their results and build trust in the education system.
As the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) draws near, parents and residents are being called upon to support candidates in their final preparations.
Addressing the candidates in Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Dambai, the MCE encouraged parents to ensure their children have everything they need to feel confident and focused, including adequate food, necessary materials and stable mental environment.
Mr. Nketia again called on communities to create a serene environment for candidates, particularly those who will be lodging locally from neighboring communities.
He urged residents to respect candidates’ space and allow them to focus on their exams without distractions.
The Krachi East MCE further asked community members to respect exam centers, refraining from encroaching on premises or attempting to assist candidates.
He has extended his best wishes to all candidates sitting for the BECE. In his message, he expressed hope that the candidates would remain calm, focused and confident as they tackle their exams on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
Mr. Nketia encouraged the students to trust in their preparation and abilities, wishing them good luck in their endeavors.
His supportive words aim to boost the morale of the candidates as they embark on this crucial milestone in their educational journey.
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Krachi East Constituency, Mr. Nelson Kofi Djabab, has announced a sponsorship package for high-achieving students in the area.
The MP said students who scores aggregates 6-9 in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) will receive special support.
The MP said this during the presentation of 3,400 educational materials for the 2025 exams, which includes Mathematical sets and pens.
